Description of the area:
In 5 Minuten erreichen Sie die Naturbadestelle an der Küste, eine weitere Bademöglichkeit befindet sich im Nachbarort Sta. Cruz. Auf Pico geht man an Naturbadestellen zum Schwimmen, Schnorcheln oder auch Tauchen. Auch in den kleinen Fischerhäfen ist das Baden möglich. Pontas Negras ist ein kleines Dörfchen auf der Südseite der Insel Pico mit ca. 70 Einwohnern. Ortskern ist die 1950 erbaute Kirche "Nossa Senhora da Fatima". Im Café können Sie sich einen guten Espresso schmecken lassen. Zum Café gehört auch ein kleiner Supermarkt der jeden Tag geöffnet ist. Hier können Sie auch Ihre Brötchen bestellen, die jeden Tag (außer Samstag) geliefert werden. Im Nachbarort Sta. Cruz gibt es das Restaurant des lokalen Sportvereins und einen öffentlichen Swimming-Pool. Ihre Vermieter wohnen in der Nähe des Casa Ita und stehen gerne jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.
