Description of the area:
Our home is right at the beginning of the Alps, with the "home mountain", the Hochfelln, being 1674 m of elevation. The Hochfelln can be reached by cable car or on one of the many hiking tracks. The marsh area, hills and mountains around offer a variety of sports such as walking, hiking, mountain biking, nordic walking, cross-country skiing, skiing, etc. There are various lakes around with the Chiemsee (just 10 km away) being the largest lake in Bavaria. The Chiemsee offers all sorts of water activities as well as a regular boating service to the islands and the famous castle of King Ludwig II.

Our home is close to the highway A8, from Munich to Salzburg. Take exit "Bergen" (No. 110) and go straight to Bernhaupten (not all the way down to Bergen). Please see instructions for details.
