Detailed description:

Hotel Pension George is owned and run by a Santorinian man, Georgios Halaris and his English wife, Helen. There are a total of 25 comfortable and clean rooms or studios for up to 5 persons.
All rooms have a private en-suite bathroom, a safe box and a fridge and most rooms have air-conditioning and a balcony.
Some rooms and all of the studios have a satellite T.V and the studios also have a kitchenette.
The swimming pool is surrounded by exotic plants and flowers and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sun.Breakfast is served upon request either in the pleasant courtyard, or in the small breakfast area.
In reception, guests can book tickets for an organised bus tour of the island, or a boat trip to the volcano, thermal springs and the small island of Thirassia in the famous caldera bay.

Description of the area:

The Pension is situated in the traditional village of Karterados, which is in the middle of Santorini and is just a 15 minute walk from the busy capital town of Fira.There are also frequent buses available - both into and out of town and also to all of the beaches and tourist sights.
In the village and just a few minutes walk from Pension George, guests can find mini-markets, tavernas, restaurants and snack bars, a bakery, a laundry, shops, a travel office and car and moped rental offices.
It is an ideal location for those wishing to enjoy the tranquility and hospitality of the local Greek villagers, whilst having all amenities close-by.

Or take the Fira bus from the port or airport and alight at Karterados. If you walk straight down the main road of the village until you come to Vazaios mini-market, you will find Pension George about 50 metres behind the mini-market in a quiet back-street.
