Description of the area:
The Hotel-Pension is close to the centre of Berlin and the Messe Berlin fairgrounds. It is well connected on the public transport of Berlin with access to an underground (U-Bahn) and elevated train (S-Bahn) station only 100 metres away. For those travelling by car, the "Detmolder Straße" or "Innsbrucker Platz" exits on the Berlin motorway A 100 are just a short distance away.
Even without a car you only need a couple of minutes to get to the uptown shopping avenue Kurfürstendamm, the commercial and enter- tainment hub Potsdamer Platz and Stadtmitte (i.e. the former East Berlin centre Alexanderplatz, Berlin's Protestant Cathedral Berliner Dom, Berlin's Museum Island and Gendarmenmarkt, among many other special sites).
The Messe Berlin fairgrounds, the International Congress Centre (ICC), the railway station Zoologischer Garten and the city airports Tegel, Tempelhof and Schöneberg are all within short reach.
