Spend a relaxing summer or winter vacation in one of our comfortable apartments in Obertraun - the little gem on Lake Hallstatt.

Only 1 hour from Salzburg and a 5 minute drive to Hallstatt.

Our house is a short 3 minute drive to the lake (with free bathing area) and the Dachstein-Krippenstein cable car. The cross-country ski track and hiking paths go directly past our house.

The apartments are priced at from 40 euros per night for 2 persons (plus tourist tax and final cleaning). Each apartment has 2/3 Beds, living room with kitchen area featuring sink, fridge, microwave, oven, hob, toaster, coffee machine, cutlery, glasses etc, cosy dining area, LCD Flatscreen TV, Digital Satellite TV, DVD Player and Radio, Bath/Shower, WC, Bath robes, hairdryer, etc, Wireless Internet. Apartment 2 also has a south facing balcony with breathtaking mountain views.

Outside is a heated Outdoor Whirlpool, Garden pavilion and a sunny terrace with gas Grill - all with mountain views.

Description of the area:

Obertraun lies within the UNESCO World Heritage area of the Salzkammergut.
Since 2, 000bc people have been mining salt (the white gold) in the area. This determined the wealth of the area up to the mid 20th century and can been seen in the local architecture of Hallstatt.
Obertraun lies on the north side of the Dachstein mountain range on the east bank of the Hallstatt Lake.
From here it is possible, with the cable car, to reach the giant ice and mammoth caves or the Krippenstein ski area.
The crystal clear mountain water of the river Traun flows through our town and into the Hallstatt lake. The river is only 400m from our house.
Our house lies within the one of the sunniest parts of Obertraun and is within 100m to the Koppenwinkl nature reserve.
At the nearby the lake you will find boats to rent, children's play area, sun bathing areas and a snack bar. Also in the area is a separate naturists beach.
In the town is a supermarket, bank, bowling, taxi, bike rent, pizza etc
